Just Play Tho – with homemade play dough. A recipe and a reflection.

In this post, Ife shares her experience playing with youth through play dough and the epiphanies she has journeying with them.

Play Dough Recipe

Ingredients

  1. 2 cups of flour
  2. ⅔ cups of salt
  3. 1 cup of water (or more til it feels right)
  4. 2 tablespoons of oil (coconut, avocado, even “vegetable” for real – the best use for something you not eating namean?)
  5. Coloring agents (i.e. cinnamon/chocolate for brown, turmeric for yellow, beet powder for red, etc)
  6. (Optional, it’ll make it stretchier) 2 tablespoons cream of tartar

Instructions

  1. Mix together the dry
  2. Add the wet
  3. Knead til you got dough 🙂
